I have just come back to work (I spent 3 days in Miami and 10 days in my home country) and the first thing I thought of this morning is that my first e-mail should go out to you... From the driver to guides to hotels, etc. And the Valentine dinner in the Cave was perfect! We travel abroad often and this was the best we ever experienced!!! I have returned to the United States and I want to thank you for the excellent service provided by your company, Enjoy Central America. You arranged a private round trip transfer for me and 2 of my friends from Guatemala City to Antigua. The vans were comfortable and both drivers were safe, professional and friendly. The drivers also showed up right on time, as scheduled. My visit to Guatemala was the first time I have used a private transfer service, as the price is usually higher than I wish to pay. However, I felt that your company offered a high quality service for the high price. I especially want to thank you and our driver from Antigua to Guatemala City on 29 December, Luis, for accommodating my request for a later pick up time at our hotel. This helped us enjoy our stay in Antigua much more, as it enabled us to take a volcano tour without having to rush that day. I just wanted you to know that our 5 families all had an absolutely marvelous stay in Guatemala in January, in large part, thanks to you. All travel connections went very smoothly including the taxi pickups for everyone both coming and going that you arranged. The hotel accommodations at the Hotel Porta Antigua were absolutely perfect for our needs with the 2 little boys. We found everything in the hotel to be very clean, comfortable and convenient to the town. The staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming and very sweet with the children. I had hoped to call you when we were there but somehow the time just flew by and then it was time to leave.
In any event I wanted to say thank you so very much for all of your help in getting us organized before the trip. We all appreciated your attention to detail and your prompt and courteous replies to our many questions. We will certainly recommend you when we have the opportunity. Yes our trip toGuatemala and Belize is already a past. But we will have only positive souvenirs thanks to you, the local people (mainly Guatemaltecos) and especially to your excellent guide Manuel and your excellent driver Israel. They both are not only very good professionals but also friendly and nice men. They werealways ready to comply all our wishes and to answer all our questions about Guatemala. We enjoyed our trip very much and I hope to come to Guatemala once again. Regarding the services I must say, that all the hotels were very good and the drivers and guides as well. The only "problems" we had were at the hotel Las Cumbres which was situated very closed to a noisy road and where we didnīt get the rooms that we would like to. At the other hand the surroundings of that hotel was marvelous- terasse fields and hills, river canyon... The only two things that I regret is the fact, that we didnīt have more time to stay in your country and that we didnīt meet. Maybe next time... I wanted to write to you and thank you for putting together a wonderful trip for us. It was very professionally done with attention to details. The drivers and guides were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Sergio, our guide, shared an abundance of knowledge with us that helped make the places we were seeing much more meaningful. He worked well with our drivers, Julio and Israel to see that we were well attended to. Also our guides at Tikal and Copan were equally so. We especially enjoyed the highland area and namely Lake Atitlan. The resort there was spectacular in all it's amenities and it's location on the lake. We could have spent several days right there alone. Antigua is a wonderful city, as was Chichicastenango, and Panajachel. We have a new understanding and respect for a wonderful, colorful country. Just a note to say you guys did a great job. Everything went better then we expected and our guide Benesario was great. Special kudos to our driver Israel, he was also there always and waiting and that was nice as I tend to be a little bit of a worrier. We were lucky with our weather but your choice of hotels and places to visit was outstanding as was our ability to fine tune our plans on the fly. Thank you for your hard work. The last minute change in plans worked out for the best. We stayed at a nice hotel in Guatemala City. I think I stayed there before but it has been completely renovated. Downtown Guatemala City has changed much since last time. It is very clean and has a safe atmosphere. Nice restaurants too. We got to Tikal a little later than planned but stayed many hours and saw most of it. Terry was impressed with Tikal. We got great exercise as we climbed most of the temple and pyramid steps to get the best views. In Belize we went snorkeling and saw manatees, sharks, huge sea turtles and lots of fish. We went to Altun Ha and the Belize Zoo. My next project is to get American Airlines to give us something as they goofed up our flight. Our connection left minutes before we got to the gate in Miami.
